In 1999 Peter Gold and Paul Vernon built the UK’s first true SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) recruitment system and honed their integration skills with HR systems such as Oracle and Peoplesoft plus job boards such as Monster, Totaljobs and Jobsite. The business (e-cruitnow) was sold in 2002 to Jobs.co.uk plc.
In 2003 the HSL consultancy was formed to advise organisations on how to reduce their dependence on print media and recruitment agencies by using Internet technologies to attract and hire people direct. Since 2006 they have also been helping organisations utilise social media to create a more open, collaborative workplace in order to transform business performance.
Hire Strategies now offer a single technology platform called HirePad that helps organisations maximise their existing recruitment technology investments by integrating with social networks, search engines, mobile, PPC advertising and employee referrals to create a consolidated recruitment process.
Hire Strategies have worked with large brand organisations such as Tesco, New Look, Superdrug, Boots, Mothercare, Pets at Home, Sodexo and Homeserve whilst also helping many other smaller organisations transform how they recruit the best people direct.
Prior to forming Hire Strategies, Peter Gold spent 12 years working for three large recruitment businesses, Manpower, Kelly Services and Securicor Recruitment. This gives Peter unique expertise and knowledge in this field which transcends both recruitment and technology.
